Adidas released the Samba in 1949. Throughout many decades, the Samba has remained iconic. This awareness campaign was meant to highlight the popular sneaker.
Soccer to Streets
Originally created for German soccer players, the Samba has recently risen in popularity amongst Gen Z as a fashion sneaker. In 2023, the shoe won Sneaker of the Year by various outlets such as FN Achievement Awards and GQ Magazine.
Old School Cool
Through technology, Generation Z's has gained easy access to things of the past which has grown their love for vintage items. Adidas is an old school brand that can still speak to today's generation by reframing the purpose of their iconic sneakers.
